New battle mode is terrible

This game is really cool, but after the upgrade is almost impossible to play because a lot of gamers dont know how to chose the characters and every time the battle is canceled.
You lose a lot of time to go to the battle and someone forget to chose, so you need back to the start again.
Please, fix this... =
